Been changed from 12 to 10 for next year. Who do you think it will affect most?

Wont affect us royce only used 11 subs last season anyway just means a few prop will have to get fitter if I had my way I would of cut it down to eight stop all this giving a forward a rest for five minutes

That's being trialled in the u18s comp in 2012 with the possibility of it being adopted in the senior comp.

This will cement the fashion for using a prop @ 13 rather than a ball player.

12 to 10 is not a huge change 12 to 6 would rid the game of Barry Ward/Feka type players.

Might see one or two more blood injuries though

The ten interchange rule is already in use in Australia. Personally I would like too see six substitutes (two must be 21 or under) and no repeated interchange (Once your off your off.) Strength and stamina should be part of the game.

Six substitutes, six substitutions (max) Job done.

It's a shame this has come in just as we have lost Jammer. Props who can do 60-80 minutes will be that bit more valuable now. It'll also put a little more pressure on the likes of Feka P and Luaki.

I'm all in favour. Fatigue should be part of the game, and re-introducing it is a much better way of allowing attacking players to express themselves than inventing new rules. Ultimately I'd like it to go down a little further, maybe to 8 or 6.

According to Andy Wilson in his piece for the Guardian today, an immediate drop to 8 was being considered, but was not approved. A reduction to 8 interchanges is being trialled in the Academy this year, however, so the signs are that further reductions may well be on the cards.

The whole idea of being able to start with two props, take them off after 20 mins, put them on again anround half time and replace them again at 60, while still having enough interchanges to cover any other changes you'd like to make is too easy imo.

A positive step forward, will see the development of better, harderworking forwards, and more players like Roby who can graft at 9 for the full 80.

Should also hopefully see more open play in the back end of games, which in tight tustles can only be a good thing. We want tries.
