Saints have today announced the contract extensions of Tommy Makinson and Scott Hale, the pair have been given a 2 year deal and a 1 year deal respectively. These new deals should see Makinson go on to cement a place in the first team and Scott Hale will have some opportunities to show his talents next season. |

Good news for Makinson, 2 years gives him plenty of time to prove himself and if he does not make it, gives us enough wiggle room to find a replacement from either academy or elsewhere. |

Good good on Makinson. Keeps the dirty Pie hands off him. I know they were after him. Give him a starting spot next season on the wing. I really don't see a place for Gardner unless Makinson is down to play fullback instead. |
