We descended down from our regular C stand perch tonight because there were several people along with no stand ticket. I have to say I felt like a leper because I was actually watching the game. Near us there were about a hundred kids milling around, trying to lift each other's leg over their heads or getting off with each other. To one side we had a group of teenagers stood drinking, texting and kissing/fondling and to the other there was a group of lads, your average uni students, also stood drinking, back to the game, talking about books about drug dealers and how cool/gansta they are.

It seems the GPW on a Friday night is the best attended and most expensive youth club/outdoor bar in the North West. What happens to this lot when/if we move to a nice new, fit for the 20th century, ground? Do they stop coming?

How many people in the ground actually have an interest in the game? The atmosphere tonight was a mix of your average suburbian subway, a train station and a student bar at lunch time.

Normally I would agree, and criticise people for not paying attention, but tonight I don't blame anyone for having a dabble or discussing 'gangsta' issues.

THE most bored I've ever been at a rugby match. A total non-event from start to finish and the sad thing is, I don't think anyone expected anything different.

True, but how do you know it's boring if you don't watch it to being with?

We spent a good 20 minutes making some very, very in jokes, paying little or no attention to what was going on, just break the monotony of beating a side without trying.

Also, we stiched Terry (saintyick) up good and proper for most of the night. Bitch.

Also, will the kids/young adults who were situated under FB One Love and Entertainers banner tonight please STFU. You were a week early in singing Leeds songs and a month early in singing about the Vermin. No one will knock singing, but droning on for about 20 minutes in what sounded like a drunken stupour, not helping the atmosphere lads.

Thank you for the love shown tonight, booty

The jokes made it worthwhile though. :D

I got so bored tonight that for the first time ever at a rugby match I didn't notice it had ended! I had just drifted off thinking of something totally different and it eventually dawned on me that the handshakes were happening.

There were plenty of people interested in the game last night as there are most games.

As anyone who reads RedVee will probably know I get annoyed by the children who use the ground as a dating agency when them doing so involves them running around and play fighting - it made a nice change to see the stewards last night telling the young lad who nearly knocked me over to stop messing about.

You can't force people to watch the game though, and at times the last 2 games I have understood why people will resort to having a conversation instead of watching the game - which isn't really a problem as long as its not getting in the way of those who want to watch the game watching.

I have to agree though that last night the atmosphere was non existent - but is anyone really shocked about that?

The "free kids season ticket" has got a lot to answer for.........it's made the situation a whole lot worse, with even more kids coming to the game who don't give a flying f*** about the game itself

"The history of Saints is mainly the history of insane people" - Benito Mussolini
"Do not be afraid to be the Saints of the New Millenium" - Pope John Paul II
"In the End, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends."
- Martin Luther King Jr.
