Imo jon wilkin has gone back over the last yr and half. He seems to think he has made it as a superstar. I think we are in urgent need of a 2nd row/loose forward to put some presure on wilkin. Anyone agree? It just drives me mad watching walk round the pitch like some superstar! [/quote] |

Anyone agree? It just drives me mad watching walk round the pitch like some superstar! Why do you think he thinks that about himself? I can't say I've noticed that. |

The guy thought he was a superstar the moment he joined St Helens. More interested in parading around the town centre taking advantage of the numerous stupid Saints player groupie women than in actually fulfilling the promise he had. I am inclined to agree that he has gone backwards. I am not convinced he has a role within the team itself. He doesn't make the hard yards and there is no position for a third playmaker in the modern game IMO. Needs improvement. |

It's coz I don't think he likes the hard work anymore. He's great when we are racking points up but when it's tough he goes missing. I really thought he would end up taking the captains armband and maybe even captain gb. IMO he is gettin worse each week. It's shame really as I like him but he gone big headed and thinks he better than he is. |

Watch him for a few sets. He makes so many dummy runs, which if he was popped the ball, would be destructive. Had a lot of promise, but he probably needs to be a big fish in a small pond. |

Had a lot of promise, but he probably needs to be a big fish in a small pond. This is fair enough but I'm not convinced by it anymore. RL is changing into an NRL style contest where the back rowers need to have the ball, make hard yards and make countless tackles. Wilkin to me does none of these, he can look fantastic when the other forwards have won the territory battle but he is never involved in winning this. He needs to look at the way he plays for me, either bulk up and start grafting or move to a side where a ball playing loose forward is needed. |

Had a lot of promise, but he probably needs to be a big fish in a small pond. He still has promise and still be good player. He needs to be told by potter to either shape up or get out. |

IMO he won't make a top class 2nd row as long has he lives. He's to small. Nothing to say he couldn't make good loose forwArd as pryce ain't really a ball playing stand off. When he 1st came he was good rough hard working player with good hands. |
