Could well be the best thing to happen to the Wolfs. How many times have we said that? But Smith has a track record, and given time could make Warrington a force. |

Another good coach to be ruined. Wigan and Wire go head to head to be the Newcastle of rugby league. On the other hand if he does the job, good luck to him |

Good move bringing Smith in, but it seems a bit gutless keeping Jimmy on. They should never have appointed him in the first place. |

Smith was probably they could bring in under the circumstances. He will turn them around, without doubt. |

He has a very good record as a coach, but I wonder what results are required for him to stay for any length of time? What league position? What honours? |

They should never have appointed him Head Coach, he deserves to continue his developmnt as assistant. There is nothing gutless in showing a bit of loyalty and keeping him on.
Plenty of clubs sack people, that's not guts. |

Plenty of clubs sack people, that's not guts. I think its a poor decision. I can't think of any other club in sport that has prospered by demoting the head coach and still keeping him on. Usually it ends up a temporary measure. It would have been much easier to start a fresh. |

Sounds as though Jimmy Lowes is just keeping the seat warm for when Smith turns up full time. Jimmy Lowes started of well then when the honeymoon period was over the club and the players went back to there old ways. As already metion Wigan and Warrington don't look as though they will never get the right formula to run a successful rugby club. |
