I thought when DA went home we would see an end to the nonsense of Wellens dropping out but no,its continued under Potter. The lack of distance he gains just puts us under pressure.Surely someone like Wilkin would be a better option?

A certain Mr Long can kick a drop goal from 40 metres, but never lowers himself to do it the other way...

Is Wellens really that bad? I'm not so sure we have anyone better.

Are you really suggesting that nobody else in the team can kick the ball more than 25-30 metres?

Longy will spit his dummy out and not do it. Somebody else needs to do it though.

If Long can kick drop goals from 40-45 yards out, surely he would be the obvious choice.

The reason Wello drops out, is the same reason as to why he kicks off. Everyone else can chase the kick in there defensive positions and then he can hang back into the fullback position.

However, i do agree, someone that can get more distance should be taking them. Its something i always say to my dad, we struggle to get 40 metres.

I thought this thread was going to be about our inability to force them from other sides.

That's a bigger problem by far.

Thats what i thought. No good Longy kicking then racing to the side and trying to defend!

(Wello is cack at kicking though)
