Mick Potter's interview on the replay of the game tonight is quite sleep inducing. I cannot understand how a guy who has been a professional rugby league player in the media frenzy that is the NRL and coached professionally for years is that nervous and timid in front of the camera.

I suggest that Mick's job is to coach the players, so therefore we should nominate a more colourful personality to handle the post game interviews, like a lot of the Premier Leagues with pre-madonna managers do.

Maybe this wouldn't be a problem if everyone wasn't so irrationally and ridiculously obsessed with coaches. Potter and John Dixon are by far the two coaches that I respect the most in Super League.

Mike Phelan isn't colourful at all.

And Noble for what he's done to the goons

I would rather have a coach that can do the job that is important and lead the team on to success than one who can put on an act in front of the cameras but behind the scenes is struggling.

Yes having both would be nice but if not possible then give me on the field success any day.

As for getting someone else to do the post match interview - would they be able to give the same sort of insight into things as the Coach can? ( I don't watch football so can't comment on how it works for that)

Old Taggart's nose is a shade of red though.

DA started out in very similar style. I think once he builds a rapport with eddie and stevo he`ll be fine.

No but there were managers before her.
