With respect, no one gives two hoots about the Challenge Cup these days. It's got like the League cup in football, I reckon once SL teams have reserve sides back, you'll see those sides playing in the Challenge Cup, certainly for the big sides.

Are you sure? Every team that has won it seems to think it's a big deal. I'm pretty sure if your failure in that competition hadn't stretched so far over the ensuing years that your opinion would be quite different.

Yep. We are obsessed with the Challenge Cup. Like Moby Dick. I've always said - who needs the Grand Final and the right to be called champions when you can take your butties to Wembley?

Your denial is hilarious! I'm sure if you'd won it this year you'd be holding onto it for dear life in an explanation of why you perceive your year to have been a successful one. Tell Leeds the CC didn't matter last year. Tell them it doesn't matter this year in their hunt for the treble. You pleb.

I have to admit I'm the first one to put the knife into this team but they really did put everything into that. Incredible defensive effort on our line.
Our pack was superb and completely nullified their opposing number(s). Savelio and Vea were outstanding. I can't wait to see how many yards Vea made he was phenomenal. Best I've seen him play. Just a shame that he was at fault for their first try.
I know people will point to one incident (40/20) but I think our discipline and inability to prevent line breaks killed us. So many times we had Leeds were we wanted them, and they were suffering, and we would give a silly penalty away (e.g. Jones, greenwood) or they would make a line break (moon twice and hall a couple of times too).
It's a shame that Walsh missed the kick and I think that was a boost for Leeds. It's as if we didn't really want Percival to score that try as the game changed after that.
I understand the issue about the VR as I thought Hall's wrist went over the ball and I can't see how he's grounded it, I could only see his fingers underneath the ball, but it was consistent with the other decisions this season (I.e. an arm hair is sufficient). Incredible effort from Percival tho to try and prevent the try against someone twice the size of him.
Overall a disappointing season really. Dumped out of both semis by Leeds and a 4th placed finish. Not exactly what St Helens should be settling for and we need to do better next season.

You were on the Wigan board this week giving it some about Wigan's lack of success and now you are poking around at Saints record. And you are a Wire fan? I'd change tact lad and try having a go at mixing it up on the Leyth board. Or Oldham
