UNDERSTAND some of the clear concerns some saints fans are
expressing on here? Hull F.C can only play whats in front of them! If thats such a threat to saints second place then that just goes to show how well we've improved on last seasons performance , remember we finished almost bottom last season but still managed to put 16 points past saints in cup final,

Early days only forth round fortunatley we have managed to win all rounds so far,and still bedding in new players with more new signings to arrive yet, everything looking great at F.C, plus recovering players to come back.

CELTIC SEEM TO HAVE HIT SOME FORM TONIGHT!

Lets see how Hull fair against some of the title challengers.

1/2 time stats on SKY said hudds only failed to complete 3 of 14 or 15 sets

I mean the likes of your props, second rowers and centres having that bit of skill to create something when your pivots are being marked.

I suppose I mean players such as Galea, Morrison, Wilkin, Lautiti etc. (second-rowers who could play 6 if needed).

Centres I mean the likes of Gidley, Webster, Walker etc. who can throw accurate passes whilst in the process of being a tackled.

Front-rowers I mean ball-players though I they're probably a dying breed now anyway.

so rovers have a team full of them then?

I am not overly impressed with Hull, we should have beat then at the KC.
Tickle's doing well for my fantasy league team though.

One through cherry and white tinted glasses. I think it's fair to say we haven't overly impressed but have just got on with the job and ground out wins, similar to what we did in 2006 imo, we never had the same flair as Saints did that year but we was a verry effective team. I think this season is the same, I don't think we'll beat teams by masses like we did at times in 2004 under McRae but I think we'll be well drilled, I guess a lot depends on Thorman.

Us real fans don't look over our shoulder at our neighbours and do whatever we can to get one over on them. We look at the bigger picture. And this is the reason why Rovers are and will forever be considered a small club. Because their fans and board would rather get one over on Hull FC above anything else.

Quite sad, really!

Hull fan here

Saints often have shaky starts - I'm sure you'll be up there at the end of the season. Granted some of your players are getting on a bit but they are still class and come the harder pitches they will put more of a show on.

About Hull - we'll see. I think we have a mobile pack (not heard us been called big before) that will be better on the harder grounds. We've beaten Wigan, Cats and Huddersfield (all being lauded as major contenders) as well as Crusaders at their home. Did they all have off-days or does the opposition sometimes restrict the other team?

Also, I think Hull deserve a little credit for Huddersfield's handling errors - the pressure from defence has a lot to do with it. I do realise some were from very poor handling but often it was because they were either under pressure or trying to find ways through/around a pretty good defence. We do tend to let some soft tries in in the last minute though - at least three I can remember.

What I do know is that I like the big occassions between Saints and Hull - great fans from both sides and a good carnival atmosphere.
