I hadn`t intended to post any new pictures but we were down there earlier on today so I snapped a couple with my mobile as you can see , one side of the site is almost clear , this is the part called phase 2

Only the the batch plant left standing now, the chimneys have gone, they have started to knock the batch plant down (thats the grey concrete building), the warehouses wont take long once they are empty.
I heard a funny story about the biggest of the two chimneys, work to demolish the chimney took longer than expected, when they were ready to knock it down it was 9.30 at night, they couldn't leave it unstable overnight having cut away part of the chimney at the bottom, so they shoved it over with a crane or something like that, it shook the flats at Peasly Cross and the area around shook, the noise sounded like a bomb had gone off.

From our canteen at work i can see almost all of the work,they started to rip off the top of the big buildings this mornings but either packed up at 10am or moved round my blindside,i'll try and get some pics asap.

There's a big cob missing off the back of the batch plant now, you can see it from the side of carphone warehouse.
