I think supporting Batley would be great. They are working hard and playing well. It's seeing players who should be doing so much better making schoolboy errors and showing a disdain for bending their backs which is the problem here.

I wouldn't necessarily say they are streets ahead. Come the sticky end of the season, Leeds, Wigan, wolfs, cats, saints, hudds and hull will all be in with a shout, plus another team who emerges from the pack which could be virtually anyone. Welcome to the world of a working salary cap and increasingly level playing field. Teams can longer guarantee to be part of the big four, or six or seven, and that's good for the game, if a little tough to take for the chicken licken brigade

ref the salary cap,it would very interesting to know how much headroom we have because based on the players in the squad there should be plenty.
