I'd say yes. Great goal kicker and can play a bit too. Out of contract at the end of the season.

If I were Saints that is
I got a post card from T! She’s living on the streets of Seattle and she referred to herself as a ‘gutter punk’!

If he was cheap and available now to replace Smelly, yes. For next season? No. He's not good enough to sign for next season when there will no doubt be several NRL randoms becoming available as their contracts are not extended or they leave French Union clubs.

He's 33 years old next year.
SAINTS THE ORIGINAL AND PERENNIAL CHEATS For sale full Saints kit (circa 1989). Shirts in pristine condition, but shorts badly soiled. For 27 - 0 you get a trophy For 75 - 0 you get sod all. Wigan had eight in a row Saints have five in a row

He's still a good player, despite his age. A goal kicker is just what we need too.

We have one.
Just he tends to have one good day, followed by 2/3 bad ones.

Hicks turned out to be a gem signing for the dires, of all the players they signed this mucker turned up, performed and never looked out of his depth. Sort of like Phil Vievers when we signed him, he came just to brush Meninga's hair and clean his room, but turned out to be a gem, even if he did end up working for the goons.
If Hicks was to leave early it would be a loss to the cheshire set for sure and I am sure all the fans would feel sorry, and the team shoudl also feel guilty AGAIN for forcing someone out the door due to their lack of ability.
