Do you think too much rested on too few?
For example Long was indifferent last night. Did a lot of key organising in the middle, but could not really get the outside backs firing. It seemed like he was playing in two roles, scrum half and stand off.
Likewise with Wilkin, did a load of work but got drawn into having to organise which is not what a second rower should be doing.
I just thought we played near the bottom of our game with ball in hand. I thought if we played Leeds we could have been walloped. The defence really got some bad plays with the ball out of jail.
As much as people will fawn over HKR, they should have won by a greater score given how out of sorts we looked.
To me it just looked like we were looking for a Long or a Cunningham to get us out of jail. The youngsters were not given enough responsinility. We should have gone with wheeler at 6 from the start of the game, given his promise and ability.
