Top 8 is another example of RL being used to promote a daft gimmick.

Don't worry no doubt it will all change again next year. The whole league will be in the play offs. Bottom club will have a bye to the final or something to make sure everyone is in with a chance of being champions no matter how sh 1te they are.

8 seems top heavy with 14 teams but the new system takes away the underdone excuse for the final.

BUT The devil is in the detail

I dont disagree with his analysis that we need to expand the WCC. There is a massive opportunity for league to have a show piece World event.

His suggestion though is simply a glorified magic weekend.

There have been many suggestions but perhaps we need to look at the wcc as a 2 year tournement played in alternate hemispheres.
