Simple as that really. What are people favourite venues or worst? Can be for any reason really.
Best venues Brudenell Social Club Leeds Cockpit Leeds Apollo Manchester Fibbers York Roundhouse London
Worst Pretty much any arena/stadium for me. Feel pretty souless Leeds Academy Leeds University (not to be confused with Leeds met) Can't think of any more at the moment
I am very surprised to see the Adelphi there. I think it is a love hate venue though. With the right band it can be special. In Q magazine many years ago Feeder were asked what the worst venue they have played and the Adelphi was named but then you get Jeffrey Lewis who pretty much every year will play a gig there. If going abroad I will add Bowery Ballroom very good venue
I'm not a big fan of arenas and tend to avoid as much as possible....Both Manchester MEN and Central are awful.
I must admit I like Blackpool Empress Ballroom, mainly because each time I've been there they were all very good gigs....I like Manchester Ritz too, and being from Warrington, I always find it a shame more bands don't play the Parr Hall, because its actually a good little venue - Probably doesn't help being so close to Manchester and Liverpool.
And so you aim towards the sky, And you'll rise high today, Fly away, Far away, Far from pain....

Fav venues from my days out playing in local bands
Fibbers, York - Always loved playing there The Puzzle Hall Inn, Sowerby Bridge - Small intimate venue Li'l Back Yard Club, London - Gritty venue with some wicked bands usually on The Trades Club, Hebden Bridge - Always enjoyed it there, bit of a local haunt Love Apple, Bradford - Nice little venue
International venues - mostly club based
Zouk, Singapore - Best Venue I have had the pleasure to play Space, Sharm - It kicked off a little but a great club One Lounge - Pune, India - Small but a great crowd Tattingers, Malta - Played there twice now and enjoyed it both times Van Gogh Club, Russia - Not sure if it still exists, a club above and bellow ground built around a disused nuclear bunker near the Ural Mountains! Great crowd too!
