I missed off Malcolm Middleton's We're All Gonna Die, but that's probably not appropriate for a hospital radio audience... Then there are the great christmas number 1s: Pet Shop Boys - Always On My Mind, Human League - Don't You Want Me and The Scaffold - Lily The Pink |

Gaudete - Steeleye Span ( a nice bit of Latin. That is what an All Saints education in the 70s does for you). Fairytale of New York - Pogues favourite band of all time captures that bitter sweet element of relatonships Mediaeval Baebes - Adam Lay Ibounden a nice bit of middle English with a great Beat I believe in Father Christmas - Greg Lake i love the start with the music ( Bells) from Lieutenant Kije. Christmas Wrapping- The Waitresses. A nice song about the loneliness of christmas with a happy ending. Silent Night. The definitive Hymn for Christmas. So atmospheric partcularly in a candle lit church. |
