Come on then, let's have yours. No Wizzard, no Slade and definitely no Cliff.

Here's mine

Good list of songs there, i will check the couple I've not heard before when I get home

Culturcide - Santa Claus was my Lover
Gruff Rhys - Post Apocalypse Christmas
Run DMC - Christmas in Hollis

Sorry there all mainly jokey songs but thats what christmas is about isn't it?

I missed off Malcolm Middleton's We're All Gonna Die, but that's probably not appropriate for a hospital radio audience...

Then there are the great christmas number 1s: Pet Shop Boys - Always On My Mind, Human League - Don't You Want Me and The Scaffold - Lily The Pink

Gaudete - Steeleye Span ( a nice bit of Latin. That is what an All Saints education in the 70s does for you).

Fairytale of New York - Pogues favourite band of all time captures that bitter sweet element of relatonships

Mediaeval Baebes - Adam Lay Ibounden a nice bit of middle English with a great Beat

I believe in Father Christmas - Greg Lake i love the start with the music ( Bells) from Lieutenant Kije.

Christmas Wrapping- The Waitresses. A nice song about the loneliness of christmas with a happy ending.

Silent Night. The definitive Hymn for Christmas. So atmospheric partcularly in a candle lit church.

Spiritualised have done a cracking version of it also.

Glad you included "last of the melting snow" in your list. My favorite yuletide song by a long stretch.
