In the meantime, my best mate's band Black Swan Rising is making serious inroads in Manchester, having played a load of gigs including Academy, Caged Asylum (  ) and many others, and the Glaston-Bury and Festwich festivals. They've blown every other band away at every gig I've seen - except when they supported Guns2Roses, but their material is kinda hard to beat!Unfortunately the drummer has just departed and whilst my mate wants me to replace him, I have a 'difficult' relationship with the bassist. We clashed in the past and get on now, but being in a band together might be a bit too much. Give them a listen here: Black Swan Rising. Their set has grown and improved since this little EP, and is simply outstanding. Having said that, if they don't find a drummer my best mate and I will be departing on a venture of our own. We all want to gig. |
