Currently listening to Frank Turner's new album, Findlay's "Off & On" EP and have just found the new Airborne Toxic Event album streaming online HERE. Really enjoying the Findlay EP, 4 songs for £1.99 and they're all brilliant. I like the Frank Turner album too, quite a few songs on there that have really impressed me.

I just found out that bizarrely My Bloody Valentine released a new album a few weeks back - mbv. Will have to download it tonight but has anyone listened to it?

Yes, I've listened to it a few times but it hasn't really had that much of an effect on me. It's received a lot of critical acclaim, and sounds very much like MBV. I think I need to give it more time to sink in to make a conclusion - first impression is mostly good though.
Just ordered the Savages - Silence Yourself. It has had some good reviews but also a lot of hype. Pitchfork gave it a very respectable score of 8.7 which for them is very high indeed. Influences seem to be Joy Division and Siouxsie.

The new Deerhunter album is pretty good. I think I marginally prefer it to Halcyon Digest, although some of the 'rawk' bits grate on me a tad.
Otherwise very disappointed with the new Yeah Yeah Yeahs album - if not for the odd gem it is easily their first truly bad record - much prefer the Strokes' new one in comparison, even if they aren't really cool anymore. I think the new Knife album is okay but its lack of accessibility could be a problem if you liked their earlier stuff.
Currently enjoying the new James Blake and Vampire Weekend releases - both very much still worthy of the past hype heaped upon them.
