Sia.
Generic Gaga-a-like songs, hideous voice which is so bad i can barely make out the words, and is ''kooky'', doing interviews facing away from the camera (oooooo, so cool and edgy!!)

After suffering an hour of Capital Radio this morning I've got to question if it's the same man and woman singing all commercial pop music or whether Auto-Tune has just taken over?

I had it for 3 hours on friday... i came close to ending my own life.
Incidentally, has there been a bigger corporate c**k-sucker after finding fame than Ed Sheeran? I really do not think so.

I really don't get Ed Sheeran. His music is a dull mixture of all things cliché, I honestly can't get through one song without wanting to put my foot through the radio. I could understand his appeal to the X Factor generation teeny boppers based on image but he doesn't even look the part! Never underestimate the power of social media and an aggressive PR team.

I tend to only listen to R6 or R Leeds. Am I alone in never having knowingly heard an Ed Sheeran song?

I'm almost with you - I've heard snippets in the background at other people's behest, and it sounded to me like generic whiney pop dribble that gets the attention of those people who don't have any real appreciation for proper music.
I'm an avid 6 Music listener - when my daughter retunes to the car to Capital, I feel like self-harming.

My daughter is at Uni & has been asked to put her 3 favourite songs together to submit to some entertainments committee. She asked me for some suggestions, which is always a challenge. She agreed with me on 'Another Girl, Another Planet'. She also plumbed for Belle & Sebastian & Smiths as her own choices, which made me pretty proud.

I'll give him his due, he seems like a genuine lad, but that's where it ends for me, couple of decent songs to start with in his career ('A-Team' was decent, had an actual story to it), but since then it's been nothing but god-awful, made-for-radio cliched love songs, (i suppose commercial radio stations don't take kindly to songs referencing drugs). Completely ripped off 'Let's Get It On' for 'Thinking Out Loud' but because it was him nobody said anything. The two songs he released simultaneously recently, one was perfect for Capital, the other was Radio X fodder... so, he knows what he's doing. Or his team do. And his very latest song starts with the line 'Girl you're the one and you know that it's true'..... That alone is enough to smash the sh*t out of the wireless..
