Madness' live audience are a bunch of knuckle draggers - They make Oasis' live following seem almost articulate.
For whatever reason, they just attracted a large group of racist skinheads.....I think it was the almost 'simpleton' nature of their music and slightly aggressive persona which proved so appealing to them, again you could say the same thing about Oasis' following.

The Swinging cats The Higsons The Friday club & even Elvis Costello & the attractions had no black members in them while signed to the 2tone label.
the thing with her is, she's no better than the likes of Amy MacDonald, Rumer, to name a couple, but she made a few hormonal women cry their eyes out at the Brits in 2011, and she became a megastar. Grammys, Brits, bloody OSCARS! Please. I'm not saying she can't CO-write, but she is bland as beige, and her voice... ugh, nails on blackboard. You can't criticise her either, else you just get told ''you don't like her because she's fat'' Emile Sande is the same, only slightly less annoying.
I'm editing this, as it seems she can't even write the songs herself. Shyster

I can't stand pretentious clowns who harp on constantly about how great The Smiths and Joy Division are. Two of the most hateful bands in history. Don't even get me started on Morrisey as a person!
