Anyone seen it yet? I've been kind of waiting for this in nervous anticipation for a few years now. Will they, won't they? I'm a fanatical fan of the first two films but really didn't get the third, it all got a bit too Hollywood and showbiz for my liking. I keep seeing and hearing tremendous things about the new installment but I'm sceptical. A 99% positive review on Rotten Tomatoes has almost riled death threats for the negative reviewer and then there's all this feminist crap bringing in a new wave of worshippers. Plus seeing a modern day Hummer with armour plating on the promos made me feel a bit empty. It's not quite a Ford Falcon rescued from the scrappers with an exhaust that was genuinely smoking because it was so knackered! I'll probably go see it or buy it on DVD to watch at my own pace but it would be interesting to hear what people think. |

I wasn’t expecting much but really enjoyed it. They did a good job of drawing you into their world and had some interesting characters. All the vehicles, costumes etc were really cool too as you would expect. The only gripe I have is that they left quite a few things unexplained. They probably could have made that into two films if they had explained things properly. In turn that might have made you care a bit more during various plot points. A good film overall though and I’m looking forward to the next one (I believe there’s going to be three?) |

I went to see it on Saturday and really enjoyed it. I'm not really sure why it was called 'Mad Max' because the character itself is largely irrelevant to the rest of the film. Oh, and for some reason Tom Hardy decided to give Max a South African accent. |

I watched it. Thank goodness SOMEONE has come along and taken the brainless big-budget action film genre by the scruff of the neck as well as administering a big, fat stake to the heart of those bloated, turgid and soulless comic-book abominations. |
