Looking forward to the film Hunky Dory

From the producer of Billy Elliot comes this funny, coming of age film featuring songs from artists as diverse as David Bowie, Lou Reed, The Beach Boys, Simon and Garfunkel, Dusty Springfield and Electric Light Orchestra.

In the heat of the summer of 1976, keen drama teacher Vivienne fights sweltering heat and general teenage apathy to put on an end of year music version of Shakespeare's The Tempest. To engage her students, she uses hits of the time, which will be performed by a fresh young cast led by rising star Aneurin Barnard.

On boxing day i think.

There is also a programme about the Clash.

Out else worth watching ?

Not much. Pretty awful selection.

Big Fat Quiz of the Year should be good tonight, thankfully no Jonathan Ross or Russell Brand to spoil it.

Charlie Brooker's 2014 Wipe on Tuesday will be one to watch.

Zulu on today - always worth seeing again. Epic battles scenes and an amazing British cast.
