I thought a thread like this maybe a good idea...

Brotherhood of War

A Korean film about the Korean war. It's brutal and moving in equal measure, anyone who likes their war films should watch this!

8.5/10

Alan Partridge: Alpha Papa - 8/10; not quite classic Partridge, but laugh out loud funny all the same. Lovely stuff.

New World. 8/10

Another Korean film to the list, brutal, stylish and violent story of the Korean underworld being infiltrated by the police. Only another Korean film, The Berlin Files is the best foreign film I've seen this year. This is a close second.

Behind the candelabra.

Wasn't as good as i'd expected as you don't really like any of the characters, very well acted just a bit slow, 7.

Elysium - visually arresting, beautifully realised and absolutely ruined by scenery chewing, pantomime villain performances from Sharlto Copley and, of all people, Jodie Foster; it's baffling that throughout the whole production, nobody told them to wind it in a bit.

A disappointing 5/10.

LUV - "An 11-year-old boy gets a crash course in what it means to be a man when he spends a day with the ex-convict uncle he idolizes."

7/10

I enjoyed the film. Really strong cast of actors. It only gets 5.2 on IMDB. IMDB is wrong and I am right.
