0/10 - I'll never get that 90 minutes back; don't make the same mistake.
Have you checked down the back of the sofa for your sense of humour ?

Tbf it's not a bad film but close your eyes and it's just peter griffin !!!!
Well you may throw your rock and hide your hand Workin' in the dark against your fellow man But as sure as God made black and white What's down in the dark will be brought to the light
'Ted' is a 2-star film - If it wasn't made by Seth MacFarlane (who for some reason has been elevated to a Godlike status by some people) then it would have been mainly ignored and would have ended up becoming a staple on Channel 5's film slot.
And so you aim towards the sky, And you'll rise high today, Fly away, Far away, Far from pain....

Are you suggesting that 'Ted' is such a perfectly formed piece of comedy that only those people totally devoid of a sense of humour would fail to find it funny?

No-one's saying that. But let's see what you said about it: "puerile, pointless, devoid of humour and lacking any discernible plot or storyline".
"Puerile" - many, many silly comedies are. "Pointless" - arguably, but then again the same could be said of many films. "Devoid of humour" - incorrect. Whether you like it or not, as an out & out comedy it received mostly positive reviews, was huge at the box office and has achieved good ratings on sites such as IMDB, Metacritic & Rotten Tomatoes. "Lacking any discernible plot or storyline" - come on, the plot was extremely simple to discern and understand. A pretty standard formula: the rise & fall & rise again of friendship and a love interest. DId you really find it hard to understand?
Personally, I thought the unsubtle crudeness of the humour became tiresome (probably why the American audience loved it), the film became a bit of a one-trick pony, but overall thought it was ok with a few decent laughs. I'd give it 3/5 simply because it does what it says on the tin.

You're rather missing the point of the thread; this is not a SmokeyTA VT factathon - it's about 'rating' the last film you watched, which is a purely subjective and personal viewpoint. And I stand by my personal view that Ted was utter rubbish.

I didn't think that Ted was as good as I thought it was going to be.

I missed the bit where you offer your little review as "my personal view".
Actually it's probably not worth discussing with someone who couldn't understand the plot of 'Ted'.
