Have not read the book ...but have been a Stephen King fan since Carrie was first published 30+ years ago..Very few SK novels transfer well to cinema or TV and this one seems a bit of a typical telemovie/series adaptation without the subtleties and human frailties that makes Stephen King such an outstanding author..Under the dome is ok...but just that..
You can take the boy out of the Bush...But you can,t take the Bush out of the boy!!!
I had the series on the Sky box from TV. I caught up to date on the TV and downloaded the rest.
Just finished watching the series. Just want to punch someone in the face to get over the frustration of wasting my time on this cack.
I actually enjoyed the series as it went on. I don't know how much of that was watching Britt Robertson wearing really tight jeans and skimpy t-shirts, but I expect that was the biggest reason.
I always thought the series was pretty stupid. But it was stupid in an acceptable, enjoyable way. But on getting to the end of the series it was stupid and pointless. It's been renewed for a second series but I'm done with it.
I've got the audiobook in my collection to listen to at some point. I'm seriously considering just deleting it after watching this.
