I'm personally disappointed we've lost Ruan I feel he could have been a useful player in our pack, he's only 21 and when he has played he hasn't looked out of his depth but he's never been given a proper string of games to build form etc. He'll probably be added to a long list of forwards who'll come back to bite us later in his career I think. |

Bit of a shame, as he looks like he has the physical tools to make it longer term, but if he wants first team next season it would most likely be on loan for the most part. He may not be the last to leave... |

Ruan's lack of progress into the first team was disappointing, but I don't remember many complaints when he was signed. |

There weren't many complaints that's true, but without much insight into him I don't know how anyone would. The fact remains that he's another one that smith did have the time and opportunity to recruit and hasn't been successful. We need to be ruthless to get the squad to it's optimum with first 17 and squad players being at the level that'll get us up the table. Unless of course a top 4 side picks him up... |
