Until the end of 2024. Reading into Blease's statement, it does appear to be Rowley from 2025.

Clever from Blease regarding long term. Shows that he is leaving options open.

Arthur may not settle (this is a guy who has just done 10 years at Parra)
Arthur may not fit in
Arthur may have Perth 2027 in mind

BUT

Arthur may doing well and want to stay

I would personally MUCH more have Brad Arthur over Paul Rowley.

Lets hope its not a false dawn!

Yes we need a bit of luck with this one. If the team and the crowd can get behind Arthur, we might seduce him into staying - he is avery loyal kind of guy obviously.

Then again there is so much risk with this appointment, we'll just have to see how it pans out. A few good performances and results out of the blocks will make a huge difference.

I'd like to think the playing group will be encouraged by this - BA has pedigree at the highest level, this isn't someone to just fill in or learn on the job so much.

I'd imagine (and I'm not in the know, just my opinion). he's here for the rest of the season with an option to extend for next and then back to the NRL 2027 for the expansion team (Perth).

Evidently the club still have faith in the squad Smith assembled... Or maybe they just see an experienced appointment as damage limitation with so much of the season left?

Either way, it will be interesting to see if a different direction will get more out of the squad. While I think we all know that they can play better collectively and as individuals, I do have doubts over whether the pack is big/tough/strong/durable/fearsome enough for us to mount a credible challenge this season.

Tomorrow's game will be interesting...

It will be interesting. Two factors they should want to put right Saturday’s performance and BA will be in attendance!

What happens with recruitment for next season under this arrangement?

Blease will no doubt make the calls, but say BA goes back in a few months, the next coach will have no say in the 2025 roster, potentially stirring up more issues if he wants to bring his own people in.

Depends, please may have actually sorted the coach out for next year, they may be in contact regarding recruitment

Yes, it's interesting to see how this effects strategy on recruitment.. it's not ideal from that point.

Blease without putting it in black and white, pretty much confirms Rowley is also a major target but wont leave Salford mid season. I think BA wants 2 years Leeds want longer, it's a trial for both parties, BA may settle well and then happy to sign up for 3 years.. I think they also wanted Rowley if BA won't commit to more that 2 years.
