Jon wilkin comments after the Hull game.
I don’t normally agree with Jon but his comment about the fact that he was a soft player himself while mentioning the fact about the tough players he played with but stated he would be licking his lips and would love to tear into the Leeds pack specifically naming big mick because in his words live on sky nothing is coming back .
Not only big mick but the entire Leeds pack.
Gutted to say I totally agree
.
This is the real problem at Leeds now.
Thoughts?

Totally agree Without Bentley on the pitch we have nothing. Newman likes flexing the muscles on insta, but when it comes to a battle on the pitch he soon shy's away. What was that with the pretend head thing?

Correct Ronnie.
I wonder if Jon Wilkin would like to go toe to toe with Bentley.

Good post and totally agree
I bet a work colleague who is a hull season ticket Leeds would lose
My only disappoint from that game is that Rohan Smith didn’t get sacked immediately after the match
Ian Blease has his first job sorted now
I would rather have JJB than the current muppet

Wilkin was right in what he said about our pack in general, but referenced the wrong player in Oledzki. He is the only prop I’d keep, and the only one who turned up again today. Lisone is a flat track bully and a penalty machine, and Sangare is a sad indictment on the people making the big decisions at Hedingley. Not only was he a bad signing, but his contract extension is the biggest joke in the club’s history.

He’s wrong about Oledski spot in with the others, i know hes been out a while but Holroyd was abysmal today

Jon Wilkins was a tough player and a mongrel as a small forward in a big tough man’s world as a player.
The statement he gave with honesty is a huge clue to where Wigan and Saints have it right and where we are going wrong at this time.
The last time we corrected this was when Doug Laughton came in and got rid of the slow small players and brought in Big faster more aggressive ones.
Big Mick is a free hit for all the other forwards in the league he never re acts it’s not in his nature and everyone in the league has no fear of him not to single him out no one else bar Bentley can help him.
People who have played at any level very very quickly work out who to mess with and who not

Oledzki is a workhorse prop. He is not and never will be the sort of prop who opposition fear. Not because he doesn't get aggro, but he just doesn't/can't run or hit with the kind of sheer power that others do. If the rest of our rotation was full of mongrel he'd be the perfect balance. Sadly the rest are complete powder puffs, and Oledzki looks worse than he is a lot of the time.

If you want to fix this team up though then size and aggression up front are what's needed. We have zero platform for Croft or the backs, and everyone looks awful. Martin is our best forward, but as an OS player he may need to be sacrificed to get us some oomph. But really the rest of the forwards are almost laughably bad as a unit. The only way that could change is if a new coach comes in and tries to get them to tear in. I don't think we have many that could change, maybe Holroyd?

Our pack gets bullied every week and continually gives up cheap yardage when defending. Croft needs to play behind a dominant pack to get the best out of him if we can see this then surely Blease will do too.
