2024 Challenge Cup Sixth Round Draw
The draw for the sixth round of the 2024 Betfred Challenge Cup took place tonight at the BBC studios in Salford with former League star Iestyn Harris doing the honours of revealing the ties.

All twelve Super League sides were looking to avoid one another with just three wins required for a Wembley appearance, while the remaining four sides from outside the top division; Batley Bulldogs, Featherstone Rovers, Halifax Panthers and Sheffield Eagles, were all looking for a big pay day and a potential Super League scalp.

It was an exciting night for fans of rugby league.

Oh well, there’s always next year lol….. But on serious note, what a tie. At home at least gives us a real boost. Should be a great game if best players are not suspended on both sides.

It's an unlucky draw. We're not at Saints level. But if we get knocked out, pressure is on league position. 5th should be the target. I don't think we will finish above Wigan, Saints, Cats or Wire. But we should be aiming to finish above Leigh and HKR. If we are in the bottom half after 12 games, Smith could be in trouble.

Interesting one this week. Good to see some attacking flair last week but ultimately we ran out of ideas and energy. Do we disregard what saints did well and simply try replicate last week's effort for longer, or will smith try and implement a few new tactics designed to test more than saints' scrambling defence?

I think I'd prefer a slow start and a strong finish to the game, to the strong start before going out with a whimper. However, based on last year's cup run, I think they should be well motivated. Execution in the moment will be key, they were only one pass away from a good win this stage last year.

Not been on the anti Frawley bandwagon, but he has been awful tonight snd last week. Give Jack Sinfield a run at Cas next week
