Post subject:  Memorabilia Advice

Just wondering if anyone knows of a place to dispose of old shirts from various seasons that might raise a bit of money for charity. I'm clearing out some gear prior to emigrating and don't want anything for them but if they could raise a few quid for MNDA or something it would be better than landfill! Even a charity shop in the Leeds area would do. Thanks for any suggestions!

put them on ebay, put the link on here, and donate what you get.

Yeah, there’s a decent market for old shirts, stick them on ebay and just donate the cash.

Out of interest, what shirts are you selling?

There's all sorts. Home and a few away shirts from sort of 97 onwards. The quartered B&A one, the Sterlo v Adelaide one, the Patrick era, hooped RU-style ISC era, a couple of testimonials Disko and Keef, Melbourne away shirt and polo shirt with match details on it, the odd training top and specials with all the past players names on etc. Even the "Youngers" home and away with the Youngers patch removed so a couple of small holes on the belly. Start off at M and end up XL!! If they don't have size labels then they must have irritated my neck. Can't stand anything on my neck so tag may have been removed.

If they had have been size small Id have had a few off you, night still be interested in a couple of them - you'll get rid of quite a few of those easily and for decent money, the Melbourne Away shirt will fetch some cash as its rare.

When you say Youngers home and away do you meant the White one? I might have that off you depending on the size!

Utilise social media. Ask Rhinos accounts to spread the word for you. All for good causes.

Aye, the white one has Umbro logo peeling in parts and the embroidered Leeds RLFC badge. The size label is illegible but it measures 19in from pit to pit. The blue one has Youngers old man logo instead of embroidered badge. I associate them with the Roy Powell era!
