Lisone injured.
And Bentley/Sinfield still going through the concussion protocolls.
Ruan and Hooley drafted in.
Squad looks a bit weak to me with the likes of Hooley, Roberts, Tindall and Donaldson after his poor showing last week.
I have no idea who will get the nod this Friday.

The squad in full is:

1 Richie Myler
3 Harry Newman
4 Nene MacDonald
5 Ash Handley
7 Aidan Sezer
8 Mikolaj Oledzki
12 Rhyse Martin
13 Cameron Smith
14 Jarrod O’Connor
16 Derrell Olpherts
17 Justin Sangare
18 Tom Holroyd
19 James McDonnell
20 Morgan Gannon
21 Luke Hooley
22 Sam Walters
23 Liam Tindall
24 Luis Roberts
25 James Donaldson
26 Corey Johnson
31 Leon Ruan

I’d probably lineup

Hooley
Nene
Newman
Martin
Handley
Myler
Sezer
Holroyd
O’Connor
Oledzki
McDonnell
Gannon
Smith

Johnson
Sangare
Walters
Donaldson

I can see Tindall/Olpherts getting a spot on the wing and Handley at full back. I just think we’ve seen enough of Olpherts to know where he’s at and Tindall is leaving anyway. Hooley currently still an unknown quantity at this level.

What's keeping Fusitua out of the side? We really need him to put a string of games together.

Lets be blunt - he has been a disaster - if not injured , then looks not interested . Bin him at end of season along with Lisone , Austin , Sezer , Tet , Bentley , Martin ( been lousy this season ) , Johnson, Tindall and Olpharts.
Some will say coach to go with them , ( and I am one of them ) but that will free enough money to rebuild this team and make us competitive as regards the top 4.

Stating to look really weak now. Injuries biting, and established players not flying. Saints will be extremely confident….

The lack of quality coming through the academy is starting to hurt us. You are suggesting losing 11 players if you include Walters who is going where are the replacements?

I don't see Smith going anywhere - there isn't any interest in the NRL for him. He needs at least next season to see what he can do with a his players - mostly Championship I know.

Saints by plenty in this one imo. I just can't see a win with that team. Hope I'm wrong obviously. We really lack quality in the back line, especially when one or two are injured. Nene was meant to be our new star centre this year but he's on the wing because of a lack of quality in depth, then having to play Martin in the centres... Concerning to me to hear Smith say pack recruitment is the priority next season looking at yesterdays reports.. it highlights what a big job the club has got on its hands in terms of recruitment.

MacDonald and Newman should be our centres with either Olpherts/Tindall on one wing Handley on the other.
We need to stop shoehorning players into positions they are not as good at eg Handley to FB, Martin to RC, MacDonald wing, Gannon to SO and Bentley to Hooker.
With Smith saying the forwards are his priority next season maybe the likes of Tetavano and maybe Bentley/Lisone are leaving.
It goes without saying we need at least 1 half back and preferably 2 plus a FB unless Hooley all of a sudden becomes our saviour.
