Cam Smith unlucky to miss out of the 40. England loss our gain but still. Handley, Newman, Oledzki and Holroyd named. |

Gannon also is in the squad. Cam Smith not being in is bizarre. He's a better all round 13 than Knowles or Smithies IMO. |

Gannon out with concussion and not played for weeks - in the England squad. Cam Smith Leeds best player so far this season - not in the England squad. Classic Shaun Wane!! |

I suspect Wane prefers more physical big unit prop style 13s than Cam Smith. |

Squad cut to 19 as Wane picks players on form following 14 withdrawals from his original squad. Surprised Tom Johnstone hasn`t got in and maybe Liam Marshall. Matty Ashton, Ben Currie (both Warrington Wolves), Tyler Dupree (Salford Red Devils), Ash Handley (Leeds Rhinos), James Harrison (Warrington Wolves), Ethan Havard (Wigan Warriors), Tom Holroyd (Leeds Rhinos), Toby King (Wigan Warriors), Mikey Lewis, Jez Litten (both Hull KR), Matty Nicholson (Warrington Wolves), Kai Pearce-Paul, Harry Smith, Morgan Smithies (all Wigan Warriors), Josh Thewlis, Danny Walker (both Warrington Wolves), Jake Wardle (Wigan Warriors), Jack Welsby (St Helens), George Williams (Warrington Wolves). |

Wane needs to stop picking players like Lomax who withdraw from the squad at every opportunity. Especially when he withdrew from the World cup squad after managing to play injured through the season. Saints players more than most seem to pull out of the squads, is this pressure from people at the club or do they not care about representing England. |
