Quite an interesting one this. Need to get some momentum now given that great win on Friday. Will be missing Leeming, but could be the ideal chance for Newman to return and for Johnson to play too. Lisone / Gannon / Bentley could be back too. Wakefield missing key men in Jowitt, Murphy, Tanginoa and Lyne.
Myler; Fusitua Newman MacDonald Handley; Austin Sezer; Holroyd O’Connor Tetevano Martin Bentley Smith
Despite his goal-line howler Olpherts contributed a lot more than Fusitu'a, who looks too heavy, slow and doesn't run with any aggression - he quite often carts the ball back sideways which negates his size anyway. Maybe a non-issue as I don't think Newman will be ready, but a choice has to be made at some stage.
The rest of the starting side should be unchanged IMO, and Walters has to stay if he's not suspended. Donaldson to lose out for me. He might be a great trainer, good team man etc but there's no room in the squad for someone with zero go forward unless injuries bite, especially as we have the already lightweight Bentley. Difficult one if Bentley's fit, I suppose McDonnell would lose out although I think he looked like a decent player and really helped our right edge defence.

It's a bit off a toss up between Fusitu'a and Olpherts for me, but I'd be inclined to drop Olpherts given that it's not just one goaline howler, it's three in three weeks. Fusitu'a has been playing out of position and on both sides of the pitch and I thought he was good against Hull. Think he and McDonald would suit each other as a combination.
I just think Fusitu'a is carrying too much weight, is too slow and doesn't go looking for the ball to help out early in sets enough. Olpherts has made mistakes, but the rest of his game is a lot better than Fusitu'a. If he keeps making mistakes then clearly he can't get picked all the time but I don't recall that was really an issue at Cas? Anyway, its good that there's competition.
Interesting to see that on the Wakey board they think they can come away with 2 points from HQ this week. Wakey have been a thorn in our side for many a year now, would like to see that put to bed
I share the sentiment with Fussy being overweight and unfit, however, he makes good yardage. He was a little quiet vs the Saints but thought he played well vs Hull. He still made over 20m more than Olpherts on the night.
Olpherts runs sideways too much for mine and always looks like he will drop the ball. He has made three howlers too now. If he just ran forwards I think he would make good metres providing he holds onto the ball.
