Not only is this amazing for the sport, and the Women’s game in particular, it’s also a great opportunity for Leeds. You’ve got to think a lot in this crowd won’t be Leeds Rhinos regulars as things stand, but could become future Leeds supporters in 2023 and beyond.

“Leeds is on course to set an attendance record for women's rugby at this year's Rugby League World Cup. Headingley will host the first game of the women's tournament on November 1, when England host Brazil in West Yorkshire.

That game is now well on track to set the all-time record for a crowd watching a standalone fixture of women's rugby in either code. The existing record is the 15,862 that watched England play Ireland in Leicester at the Six Nations earlier this year”

The RLWC would be mad if they didn’t get some promotional content out for the Women’s World Cup games today. Just checked my email, nothing there yet.

I’ve had quite a few emails through, but it seems odd to me the majority of the adverts I’m seeing on social media are to buy some kind of digital tokens rather than match tickets, surely selling match tickets should be the priority.
