More cheap tat from Oxen.

I have an original 94 Ellgren shirt - its made of horrible material but its got a certain charm, well to me anyway as I have fond memories of the two Wembley trips with my late dad, despite the results. I can still vividly remember the Offiah try in 94, my Dad had gone for a beer and missed what is now seen as one of the greatest toys of all time!

Does anyone actually buy all the tat they put out?! I've got the original 94 one too though I was 13 at the time so it's tiny and as you say the materials awful but at least it's the original, to go with my 'signed' (printed) Wembley scarf.

I bought the Watersplash final replica they released in the early 00s - it is unbelievably good, it cost a fair bit but worth every penny.

The Superdry gear they were selling a few years ago was also very good quality and a great range of merchandise.

The stuff they are peddling now is just awful cheap rubbish, and as I have said to Oxen it's the first year in over 25 years I haven't bought a shirt because they won't sell one in my size.

Ive mentioned this in my general club thread and it might seem like a trivial thing but I think a club with our fan base and stature in the game should really be reflected in the kit supplier and merchandise they sell, it is absolutely woeful

Ive never felt compelled to get in touch with the club before but I might send them an email - just not sure who to email - I appreciate it won't make a difference and its quite petty but it might make me feel a little better :-)

XS

I usually buy the players fit shirts, but they don't seem to be selling them this year and no one at the club or Oxen can give me an answer as to wether they will be

Ah yeah. I’m medium but can get away with small. XS isn’t tiny either is it?

I like the “thought” of retro shirts. But theyre never quite on the money. The 2 zig-zag shirts are essentially missing the zig-zag. Look weird without the carling black label sponsor and dont have the 3/4 length sleeves. Put them both next to the actual 90s versions and they couldnt be more different. Unless there is some sort of intellectual property protection with Umbro on the design, why not make the effort to make it as true to retro as possible?

Small is massive and weirdly proportioned.

Anyway as it happens i was passing the stadium this morning so popped into the shop, i can confirm the new retro shirts are shocking!

But they’ve finally got the players issue shirts in for sale, so picked one up - £80 though!!!!

I think given the rate at which Oxen are spreading across clubs (and the officials gear too) for such a small company it's probably safe to say that must be able to offer such a good margin it's hard for anyone to turn them down.
