So it’s been confirmed by the YEP that Leeds have given Trent Merrin permission to look for a club in the NRL. So who’s next then for the captaincy? As much as he’s been injured in the previous years, I’d give it to Stevie Ward. |

Ward all day long for me. His injury record is poor no doubt but that doesn't me it will be this season. Players can get injured at any point but you still have to appoint a captain. There is literally no other player I can think of that would come close to ward that is currently contracted for next season. |

We have ballsed up the captaincy since Sinfield left. Let’s get the squad sorted and finalised, then make the right choice. On current squad with Merrin not there, Ward is the clear obvious choice. But there might be other options once finalised. |

Ward, if he's knacked then Reece Martin unless any new marquee's a real stand-out candidate. |
