Got his booty handed to him by a superior coaching team tonight.

Briscoe played a season for Hull at left centre. Zak won a grand final at left centre. Ablett has won two grand finals playing at centre.

So let's shove the 20-year old second rower who's never played centre in his life before, and was crap there for 40 minutes against the worst side in the league back into that position for the biggest game of the season so far.

Let's not play our hooker who we paid big money to sign, and instead let our best impact player get the poop bashed out him for 80 minutes.

Let's not bring our best go-forward young prop on till nearly an hour's gone.

We battered Saints tonight with 15 players for an hour. With Aiton on from the start, someone who's a competent left centre playing at left centre and decent rotation of subs we'd have won that game easily.

Well done McDermott - threw away 2 points tonight.

If you think we lost that because of our centre you are sadly mistaken. Our hooker was ill and could not play. In all fairness Singleton looked pretty poor when he did come on.

I will blame McDermot for the tactics, but even there, there are enough experienced players in that side to change things and pull it out.

If saints were at full strength they'd have put a score on us.

All the things that Mcdermott did wrong I questioned before the game even kicked off, we aren't even using hindsight anymore with these mcdermott clusterf*cks.

That is now two games where Ward has proved incompetent as a centre. We have two players with three GF winners rings between them as cover centres (Ablett & Hardaker) plus BJB. If Moon isn't fit next weekend, one of them MUST play there.

So that's ward at centre, with ablett and hardaker as unused subs and peacock playing 80 mins with a broken leg then.

He played on with JJB as well despite the fact he's confirmed in the press conference he tore his bicep after 15 minutes

Fortunately (for Saints) Jones-Buchanan's torn bicep didn't effect his rush goal-line defence that continues to leak similar tries to those gifted away last season.

You can never doubt his enthusiasm but without structure it can be counter-productive.

I believe Aiton was not dropped, he had to withdraw through illness. I believe he would have played otherwise

I agree that he does rush out at times, rather than just do the basics. I think Kirke was partially to blame for that missed tackle last night, he made the previous tackle and then tried running around 2/3 Leeds players to get into the defence line rather than push the Leeds players out. This left a gap inside JJB as Kirke was still running round into position. JJB's attempt should have been stronger though.
