I know there were a few comments on here about the minutes silence held on Boxing Day and the associated mucking about with mobile phones etc.

Got to say last night's was perhaps one of the best in recent years.

Whilst I understand it is impossible for the odd phone to not to go off, there was no clown at the back endlessly playing their ringtone this time.

A fitting tribute

There's always one. From my standing point, it was well respected. As it should be. There's always one brain-dead, but let's not deflect from honouring Leon.

Sarahrhino, were you in the south stand by the 30 metre line as some idiot thought it funy to start laughing. I am surprised that the woman to my left (not the mrs) didnt smack him as she was mad as hell.

Just spoke to a mate who was at Wakefield last night and he said it was unbelievable, the mins silence started ages before the ref blew his whistle, great respect shown as expected but still

Yes that where I always stand. The offender was stood right behind me I felt like turning round and giving him what for then I saw that woman doing it.

But then you would become the offender (or the thick gobshite as I like to call them). I've seen it so many times and things like this, where one person will shout out, so then a group of people will feel the moral need to shout 'SHUT UP', and they then are just as bad.

Any road, it was there to honour Liam as a tribute, and from where I was stood that was done perfectly. That's what really counts.
