If there is, the distances between us and them are, as far as we know, necessarily prohibiitive of visits, unless we totally misunderstand the structure of the universe. Not impossible, but increasingly unlikely as particle physics advances.
There are key questions about the organisation of life, whether it is massively unlikely fluke, whether it is the inevitable organisation of the chemicals which create it, whether it must always be of those chemicals, whether "earth-like" conditions really are imperative for it's evolution and so on.
I wouldn't regard it as impossible that we have been visited by beings from elsewhere in the universe, but I would view it as vanishingly unlikely given the distances they'd need to travel and the amount of space they'd need to search to find us. I think, that while it's not impossible, there are more plausible explanations for reports of lights in the sky. Including but not limited to marijuana use.
