love off!

It seems some of our players aren't too keen on Smith's work ethic. Are there any examples of players who didn't tow the line and suffered as a consequence?

The only player I can think of is Thackray, but I'm no too sure if it was solely down to this.

Cheers.

Ryan Bailey was once in pizza hut & bowling on a match day during TS reign so your judgement of Tony Smith is wrong.

Adamson, mcdonald and to a lesser extent barrie mac have come off 2nd best to tony smith.
The thing wire fans have to realise is that the team TS coached to our 1st title was built by darryl powell except lautiiti.
He had a squad full of quality and home grown products and he proved the final piece in our championship jig-saw.
At warrington they are way behind imo in terms of depth, quality and attitude.
I've no-doubt TS can turn you around but it'll take a lot longer than it did at leeds and in the meantime the other teams will continue to improve.

Danny Ward?

There were a few high profile casualties following that infamous trip to Perpignan in 2005.

That was the rumour going around.

But this really doesn't suprise me, it was beocming clear there needed to be a clearout at Wire and the players who don't want to know will be shown the door. If there's one thing he will do, it's sort out the discipline at Warrington.

Just out of interest, which players have hinted they want out? Would Briers be one of them by any chance?

Who will the Wire fans back?

Their hero's who have delivered season after season of let down, failure or mediocrity?

Or a coach with a track record of success?

By the sounds of it, they'll all be throwing their support behind Matt King.

Jamie Peacock was certainly not a fan of Smith's regime initially after what he was used to at Bradford.

I heard the same. I also heard we had cliques.

Whatever the circumstances under smith we had enough respect in the squad to be professional and play through it which is a credit to Smith and players alike.

I'm sure he'll do a good job at wire in snuffing out the "rear guard action" Cullen mentioned providing the unhappy clique is not the majority of the squad, in which case you'd need to rebuild the whole team and not just weed.

2 things for sure discipline will be a priority from the coaches and lowes will develop as a coach.
