Serious head on here. BRING THE TWO REF SYSTEM INTO SUPER LEAGUE In this mornings game, a Manly player took out a Bulldogs player (Brett Kimmorley), referee Brett Suttor who was the back play official saw this and told Ben Cummins who was the control official via the mic that it was a penalty to Canterbury. The penalty was given inside three seconds, and the tap was taken after six seconds. The two referee system has speeded up the game ten fold from the two games that I have seen this weekend. In the past under the old system of one referee Ben Cummins would have asked the video referee who was Steve Clark today, to look to see if there was a late hit on Brett Kimmorley and should there be a penalty to Canterbury. Which in return would of held up play for a minute or two while they would anaylise the footage. The fans want action, action, action and the two ref system gives the fans what they want. |

The problem is we don't have enough refs for two at a match! |

Why bother with two refs? There are two linesmen at the side of the pitch who are perfectly positoned to watch for offsides and all those forward passes you keep throwing |

It is to early to say whether the experiment will work in the NRL but the lines men should do more. Why cannot they mointor the off side at the play the ball. |

Do they???? News to me, certainly given the invisibility of certain linesmen. |

Can you imagine how many more points Bradford would lose by if the game was speeded up??? Could be the first Super League club to let in 100 points in a game....and PLEASE let it be against Leeds. |
