Naming no names, it was clearly (to me at least, from the footage) the Manly second row that made the comment. While still naming no names it wasn't the one that caused Leeds the problems all night and while still mentioning no names you could rearrange these numbers (21) to identify his shirt number.

I suppose the decision not to persue the matter was so as not to sound like bad loser's. a pity is some ways as this sort of behaviour needs to be stamped out. Bye the bye isn't it up to the ref to on the spot to arbitrate that sort thing anyway?

I wish it had been then you could have re-arranged 11 to get to his shirt number.

Well that's narrowed it down a bit.

Robinson is hiding behind an ignorance of the laws governing international games. The allegation should have gone in his match report, no ifs or buts about it.

Where's the line though?

To me there's a big difference between a chant like that directed as banter, and calling someone a "black" whatever.

Im not defending racism or condoning it in anyway but Ive recently returned from working in America (Bear with me; this aint a life story) where I was working with a good 20-30 Aussies. They were all genuine, nice people but on occasions they would say remarks which if uttered in England would get you in alot of Trouble. After a few discussions I found that Aussies regularly use words to describe people that if said in England would be deemed racist.... If the Manly player has outright been racist with malicious intent; then we do not need that in our game and he deserves punishment. A reason for Leeds' failure to pursue the comments may have been however that it was not meant in a racist way it was literally just a case of language barriers. Just a thought???
