If you do not feel that this player deserves a thread of his own then I recommend you either get rid of it yourself or go through the right channels to get rid. Its terrible when a player gets injured although I know its all part of the game. But the last thing we should be associating this issue with is personal preferences to how you go about things on these forums.

A new thread doesn’t harm and I’m sure you won’t have sleepless nights over this!
