Just recovering from a massive hangover from last night, this is my last day in Leeds before flying back Down Under and therefor I am reflecting on the events of yesterday.
I've enjoyed my time in England, and met some nice people including Steve who refered me to this website.
Whilst I understand the passion that Rugby League brings out in all of us and I hate to be negative but me and some of my travelling friends had the evening
somewhat tainted by the behaviour of unfortunately a significant number of Leeds Rhinos fans.
It is a crying shame when you get sledged with quite frankly foul and abusive language for simply cheering when my team scored and indeed whenever
we tried to encourage the Manly boys.
To be told too sit down, or 'F' off every time any of us stood up after a Manly try was quite scary and for the first time ever at a Footy game I was actually quite scared of
being physically attacked!
Fair play to you Poms for your passion, but remember there are two sides in every game and without opposition supporters there would be no need in playing the
game at all.
The worst incident involved a number of objects, including coins and sweets which were thrown in our direction after we went 18-0 up, also a young girl over to watch her brother in the Manly squad, caused no trouble, just encouraged her brother had a beer thrown over her which went onto spoil her night.
I hope these memories don't over shadow what has been a wonderful stay, but my wife for one is stating that she won't be rushing to come back to England.
As I've already said, I have met some wonderful people and the warmth shown in particular by the Lord Mayor, Bradford Bulls club and the staff at Headingley Mr Hethrington enbodied everything good about the sport we all love.

GO MANLY and thanks for a great match, best wishes for 09#

I think that was the problem, you went to the wrong game.

You were doing so well too until you posted a fictitious score...

I hope you reported the incident to the police and stewards, a far more effective step than just making unsubtantiated claims on here.

I smells BS in the air...

After 20 beers it's hardly suprsing I got the wrong score, I'd forgotten you scored the disputing try at half time!

Your attitude in these reponces futher illistrates your lack of concern about the bigger picture for the good of the game, I can see that I've wasted my time raising this as an issue and therefor thankyou to the good supporters I met.

Sorry to hear about your bad experience, there are idiots everywhere you go unfortunately. We get one of these messages after nearly every home and away game, not alot we can do about it on here to be honest. Safe journey back, and hopefully a rematch in 2010, maybe down under. :)

Sorry to hear about some aspects of your trip, I hope it didn't spoil the result for you.

Not the experience we have over here to be honest when we play Huddersfield.
