Thoughts on his performance tonight?

I only saw the 1st half and the last 15 due to an untimely trip to KFC  but from what I saw he looks a very strong ref and did little wrong. He was always spot on in his positioning and looked a hell of a lot better than the majority of refs over here.

In the time I watched him the only thing I could disagree with was Bridge's ball rip in the last minute of the first that gave Catalan the penalty that resulted in a try as IMO Bridge had the ball before he shouted held.

I think after the Ganson Show against Wakefield I’ll never complain about a referee again. Other than that I think Robinson was consistent and didn’t step a foot too wrong for my opinion. It was terrible what Westwood did but at least he was consistent when Mogg came up with that high tackle long afterwards.

I think after two penalties the refs should bring both captains together meaning the next offence is a sinbin. I believe this will stop most silly plays whilst the fitness levels are up. However its ok to cut a bit of slack at the end of the game if it’s a game in the bag IMO!

Unless he wakes up it could be a blood bath next week.

Typical Aussie ref, if it's below the temple it's fair dinkum.

Too many hands on, messing about at the play the ball that you wouldn't expect to see in SL.

how many high tackles did he let go?

and he's already adapted to the spineless barsteward attitude of the current mob in not bimning anyone for constant penalites.

I thought he had a shocker. Both Westwood and Mogg should have been sent off. Westwoods was just short of ABH ffs

Mogg?

He didnt swing, he just reached out as he was stepped. It was just a careless tackle not wreckless. I agree Westwood should have been sent off though but you see them put on report all the time.

Jumped into a takle with a swinging arm and connected with Dane Carlaws nose/forehead. Carlaw was out before he hit the ground.

Did you see where the Warrington defenders feet were when defending near their line? Briers in particular was 2-3 feet infront of the try line. You have Bentham operating zero tolerance and now this guy allowing both feet over the try line at almost every play. Can we please have some bloody consistancy.
As for the PTB, I think he did fairly well. He could have penalised Warrington at every tackle and we would have had no game at all. I've never seen such p!$$1ing about with hands pushing the tackled player constantly after the tackel was complete. Poor coaching, poor execution. Warrington are rubbish.

I know it's a contact sport but swinging lazy arms at head height should be strongly discouraged. I thought the fullback was lucky to escape without injury. If a few more of those got reds then players might actually switch heir brains on before they do stuff like that.
