Finally at last, the RFL has got its finger out and decided on the times for the Murrayfield Magic games in Scotland over the May Bank Holiday weekend.

For the Catalans Vs Leeds game, we're going to be on at 16.30 on the Sunday afternoon and thankfully for a change, this means that we're NOT the last match on (that's due to start at 6.30pm this year)

It also means that getting up to Scotland there and back by train is now at least possible in the one day.

It is also worth considering that if you know you are going now, the sooner you book by train, the cheaper it might be. Personally, I've just secured tickets to come back from Scotland at 8pm on the Sunday night (I'm not bothered about the last game - Warrington Vs Hull KR) for under £12 and with the same price on the outward leg, it makes it a very reasonable £23 round trip.

National Express East Coast have just released the tickets for the 3rd May, so there might be plenty left on their website and if you're watching Leeds on a budget this season, this might be a good way to see at least our game for a reasonable travel price ?

Anyone any idea how much the club are charging for an 'official' package ?

Hmm, I wasn't going to bother going, but there and back in a day by train puts a different complexion on the idea.

Not sure about a day-tripper but there was a flyer for a 'weekender' floating around the ticket office.

For that money, get yourself down to Perpignan.

Where are you travelling from? ive just been checking out the return leg from Edinburgh back to leeds and it seems that if you get the 8 o clock train it takes 5-6 hours to get back!

My Perpignan travel arrangements (not to mention the flight arrangements to rendezvous me with fleet exercises after the Challenge Cup Final) were also secured this week too.

On second thoughts, given that the Leeds game should be finished around 6.15pm (certainly no later than 6.30pm, when is when the next one kicks off) what about the 19.00 ?

OK, might be pushing it a little, but a get a shift on after the Leeds game, the assitance of a bus to Princes Street or a train from Haymarket and you could be back to Waverley in plenty of time ?

On the other hand, you've got a nice little 2 hour booze session through the Scottish Borders / Northumberland to look forward to ?

Going and coming back in one day is way too much travelling for one day.
