Can't see us throwing "silly money" at Martin to be honest, he's not a local and by all reports it was Leeds who offered an improved contract and we've probably matched that or offered a fraction more. We're in a far better position of strength than Leeds at the moment, so I doubt we'd need to vastly improve his deal to land him as opposed to someone like a Wakefield or Hull FC who would have to throw significant "extras" at this stage.

How do you know they have thrown silly money at him? Could Be £20k pa or less. What’s grim is he might think has More chances of winning stuff , he certainly isn’t going for the ambience and scenery.

He might conceivably by their 3rd marquee player alongside JWH and Lewis. But it does beg the question: who, other than Croft, are ours? We need spots 2 and 3 filling with nothing less than outstanding players this time around.

£20k per year extra is still a lot of cash, i don’t know but as you say he hasn’t gone for the location.
