We know this set of players can play a lot better than that. I think they've given up on the coach. Its getting to the point where Smith should walk away, as if the players have lost faith it will just be like this more often than not until he goes, and that looks to be a very unhappy group of players. Its unfortunate with the timing of Rob's passing, but once the players check out the coach is a goner.

I was thinking just after half time we should have pushed Smith up to prop, O’Connor to 13 and brought Johnson on.

Goudemand doesn’t do it for me at prop. He’s a bench back row who can emergency cover prop if needed.

Smith is slowing us down too much, he is struggling for form. Sangare gets bagged but he gets passed the ball with 2 opposition forwards already on him, he has no chance.

Honestly have doubts over all Smith’s signings. I still like McDonnell but he needs to be our smallest forward. The conditions played into Hull’s hsnds today as it exposed our poor skill and lack of physicality.

I don't want him to leave Wigan but i would be fascinated to see what he could do at a big club in decline like Leeds or a Hull. His rugby isn't always pretty but he always gets every last drop of effort from his players. He is renowned for utilising the academy and promoting from within too. It's everything clubs like Leeds, Wigan and Saints are built on. You need somebody who gets the culture of being in charge of one of these sides. The imposters of these roles never succeed.

I’d like Wane if he’s up for the job

Jim we just look poorly coached. Smith isn’t getting a tune from any players. That squad isn’t brilliant, a long way from it but it’s much better than what we’re seeing.

There’s quite a lot of talent and skill in the squad it’s just not manifesting itself!

They’re nowhere near as bad as that shitshow they put out today

Didn't go today and haven't watched the game yet. Doubt I will as the result says it all. The writings been on the wall for weeks if not months. At this point Rohan’s like a boxer who's taking a sustained beating. He won't quit, but that doesn't make it right. Somebody needs to step in for his own (and the clubs) good this weekend. At least that way the Leigh game can be the beginning of something new.

The fact is that after every break, every chance to 'reset' or work on things - which we are told by Smith is happening - we come back worse. Three of our worst performances have come off two week breaks - Hudds, Sts and now Hull. To go back to the very first post on this thread, what the heck are they doing with all this time off??

Just be glad we didn’t appoint Tony Smith as Director Of Rugby. As a gurning apologist for his nephew he showed what a dangerous thing nepotism can be in sport. Good job nobody takes what he says seriously, especially Brian Carney.

We’re the third worst team in the league (don’t quote table, Leigh and hudds better)

The talent of the players we have is better, but what Smith is getting out of them is pure sh’ite.
