Even by our standards that is terrible.

Way back when in August, 4/5 GH emails ago, GH was issuing the rallying cry that the team was getting ready to push for the playoffs.
With Myler just announced as done for the year.
GH agrees to release our best attacking player in Austin to Cas on loan to help him get a deal for next year, on the last day of the transfer window. That still makes little sense.
Any moderately competent CEO would have inserted a condition that Austin could not play in this game as it may have been key for a play off spot.
I think Austin is very talented on his day, but is also inconsistent and has a chip on his shoulder. If he’s been too cocky then the club is right to stand on and get rid.
There are always two sides. Broadbent left I think basically for more money - if he’d been more patient he could well have had a run at centre or SO for us this year.
Walters also tempted out - if stayed would have had a run at prop.
Austin - we didn’t want to commit to him bc his form is all over the place and we’re trying to get more consistency - what’s the problem?

Sadly, There are quite a few problems Jim
We’ve let our best attacker leave and not replaced him We are playing a slow Second row forward at stand off
But even if I believe the GH spin on it which I don’t, do you think Saints or Wigan or even Leigh Miners Welfare might have said if we release you on loan, you can’t play against us this season?

Even if the rest of Cas's squad looks weak, they have two halfbacks. That gives them a big edge. even if the effort os there unlike last week its hard to see us having many points in us.
Just on Sinfield, from next year he needs to be given a chance when a first choice halfback is out but the rest of the team is strong. Its really unfair and no kind of learning environment to play in the sort of teams he generally has since last season.

We put a few on Hull with a similar squad, Wigan and Catalans are a totally different proposition than Castleford

Sadly we no longer have one.
Your joking aren't you?? You expect GH to act using common sense?!? Preposterous suggestion!!
