Picked him out several weeks ago as a possibility and unfortunately Hjelde not kicked on and might be let go.
Byram makes sense too as he can cover RB and LB .
Hamer and Stewart would be good additions to the team too.

Hjelde got some brilliant reviews last season at Rotherham and has done alright so far in preseason. (I dont think you can write a player off from preseason especially when its under a new coach). He's a player and only 19 so has lots of development.

Williams would be a good signing, but where would that leave Byram with Ayling and Drameh at RB, Williams and Hjelde at LB with Dallas to come back (what's the latest on him? Haven't seen anything said about his recovery or return)

I agree to a certain extent.
I was advocating a centre back partnership of Cresswell/Hjelde last season as both showed what they could do on loan.
I guess I`m being too critical over the recent friendlies and spotted some flaws in his game.
For me he is a centre half not a LB.
We look to be stacking up on defenders and not a lot happening in midfield or attack where we are definitely lacking.

Agree that he looks like he'll be a CB, but we seem to be stacking up there like you said. I guess, when you look at the last 2 years, we couldn't stop the opposition scoring. I get the impression Farke has clear idea what he needs, and the club are hopefully out there working on the deals

SSN reporting multiple premier league clubs interested in Summerville so expect him to leave at some point soon

And Robbie Fowlers team in Saudi after Liam Cooper.
At his age he would be silly not to accept the offer of mega bucks.
What`s the rules re FPP?
Can we only spend what we let go?
